Should Doug get a Viper or Citroen 2CV?

Jared Rose says Doug should get a Viper. I was thinking that since he just sold a high performance car, he should get a car at the other end of the spectrum... a Citroen 2CV... like this one:

What do you all think?

Not a viper. Only cause I've been daily driving one for the last few months and would rather read about something I don't know about. Plus I'm tired of all the viper exaggerations.

I’m gonna keep saying it. He should get something pre-war and daily it.

No way! I wanted to DD a Viper. Do you have a quick analysis of what that’s like?

The only thing I’m not sure about is if the chassis would bend in half after you dropped the engine in. And if it didn’t, then it surely would twist itself into a pretzle the first time you floored it.

Of course it would. But it would make for good internet.

My suggestion is still the best.

Pierce-Arrow 80 Coupe (Sedan/5 Door is also acceptable)

Yeah... at least one article would have Doug saying something like “With the Viper engined 2CV, you have to be really careful with the gas pedal. Look at this video of me turning the 2CV into a pretzle”

“On the bright side, having a weak body means it’s easy to bend back. Watch me bend the body back with these clamps and a crowbar”

2CVs are wayy too expensive these days, he should get something that won’t become a classic, ever. Like an early AX Diesel or something.

Kinja'd!!!

Or maybe a Visa Plein Air.

I’ll do a write up eventually, I just worry about sounding boastful. It’s a 02 Viper so pretty “raw” as they say. It has comfy seats, ride is better than my last sports car - an Elise, guzzles gas, more than fast enough, gotta be careful of scraping. I've never spun out or even hydroplanes in pouring rain. Overall it's just not as crazy as everyone says, but I am biased since earlier this year I dded a classic mini and even the elise for a few months last year.

I think Doug in a Model T would be worth reading. Particularly now that its winter and it has no heater.

Actually there were aftermarket heaters you could get for the Model T:

Well yah, if you want to waste money.

Most people just pulled one of the floorboards out and let hot smelly air from the engine in.

......2CV...would make an awesome car for around Philly, and the potholes wouldn’t matter anymore! Also, road trips would be an adventure every time. :P

Honestly it would be interesting for 2 or maybe three columns. The best use of it would be to kill it like a PT Cruiser but they’re too expensive for that.
